How to track leads from Mailchimp
Every signup to your audience, with its source — native connection.

With Mailchimp, NEMO tracks which link brings each lead with no pixels and no Google Analytics. Know which link or video brought you each signup to your Mailchimp audience. (Tag-based sales don't exist in Mailchimp: it doesn't notify when you tag — we tell you the alternative.) When you connect (the Connect button on its card), NEMO creates the “nemo_click_id” field (merge tag NEMOCLICK) in your audience and the signup notice. The source comes in through your form. The method is “The hidden form field” (server-side · highest reliability): Your form carries an invisible field (nemo_click_id) that travels with every signup to your email platform. NEMO receives it server to server: the lead arrives already attributed to its source link. The full connection is 3 steps and you verify it with a single test click.
How does each Mailchimp lead arrive with its source?
The hidden form field · Server-side · highest reliability
When you connect (the Connect button on its card), NEMO creates the “nemo_click_id” field (merge tag NEMOCLICK) in your audience and the signup notice. The source comes in through your form.
- Connect Mailchimp from its card: create an API key (it ends in -usXX), paste it and pick your audience. Open API keys in Mailchimp
- Form EMBEDDED on your site (recommended): add this input inside the form and paste the NEMO script — it fills itself in:
<input type="hidden" name="NEMOCLICK" /> <script src="https://nemolink.app/nemo.js" defer></script> - Using the form HOSTED by Mailchimp? Its editor lets you hide the field (Field visibility → Hidden), but on their domain the script doesn't run and the source doesn't travel: use the embedded one to attribute.
Check it in one minute
- On the Mailchimp card, click “Send test”: real signup → notice → attributed lead on Home.
- The SUBSCRIPTIONS stage of the traffic light turns green on its own.
Frequently asked questions
- What do I do if the key doesn't validate?
- It must be a complete API key (it ends in -usXX). And when connecting, pick the audience your subscribers go into.
- What do I do if leads arrive showing “no source”?
- Is the NEMOCLICK input inside the embedded form, and does the page carry the script? In forms hosted by Mailchimp the source can't travel.
- What do I do if i want to count sales and can't?
- It's a Mailchimp limit (no tag notifications), not your setup. Alternative: attribute the sale from your payment platform — Stripe, Hotmart, your own site… each has its guide in this catalog.
